Sat, 10/1 - Number for today is......
...1.9! That is what Stefan told me his WBC is today. He called me to tell me, when I went home for a few hours. He was so excited, because now he knows the doctors probably will let him go home next Tuesday... or even Monday? Let's keep our fingers crossed.
First he needs to have a pic line or a port put in before going home. This will be used to deliver the daily infusion that he will be getting for the next several weeks. Like 2 months worth.
I went home to help out my kids put the finishing touch on their paint/clean-up job they did in our bedroom as a gift for us. They installed a new fan, terrific paint job, and delivered a new Lazy-Boy that we ordered, cut the grass, cleaned up the yard, organized the toyroom, put the beds together, etc. A LOT OF STUFF. I got to cook for them - an early THANK YOU dinner for all of them: Suzia Koy Ela Julia Stevie Karen Stef Maddie & Newest Stefciu.

We love you too!
We were glad we could come and help in any way we could. If Popsie needs the room cleaned and as dust-free as we could get it, then that's what we came to do. If you thought it would be nice to get a fresh coat of paint on the walls, then that's what we did. I wanted to do that two weeks ago, but you and Popsie said that would be unnecessary. What is family for, if not to help with the unnecessary?
So your room got a fresh (and green!) coat of paint. And the ceiling is all one color white now, as it was also painted. And you guys finally get the king-sized bed in your room, after how many months since you bought it for yourselves??? So the headboard is too small - we can fix that in a few weeks.
Now Popsie has a big comfy bed to stretch out on, not that he wants to spend more time in bed. But now he'll be comfy when he does. When he's not sitting in his new recliner, that is! So he has two places to be comfortable in. And when he's not being comfy, he can walk around the house. Remember, we've got the treadmill if he wants it - since he shouldn't be going outside to do his walking yet. Just let us know, and we'll bring it over.
Okay - so we did a "little" for you. Just like you always do a "little" for us! Thank you for the dinner - it was good to be back "home" to eat, with a house full of kids! Just missing one guy, and he's coming home today!!!
