1,000 and holding

Yes we got the news this morning that Stefan's WBC white blood count went up to 1,000. He did run a slight temp last night of 100.6. Thanks for your positive thinking. Now it is 9:15 and one of the Oncologists came and told us that out of that 1,000 he probably only has 500 good ones so..... He still has to keep up the 1,000 for a while before going home. This doctor said he has to be taken of some of the anibiotics and antibacterial drugs/drips that he is getting now, before he could go home. This doctor thinks more like Monday or even Tuesday. BUT hey we are heading in the right direction.. RIGHT? YES, WHOOPEE going home soon.

Behold, the Power of Positive Thinking!

Stefan's nurse, Maria, came in this morning with some wonderful news... his white blood count has reached 1000! Now, assuming it stays at 1000 or above for the next 48 hours, Maria said that the doctors may decide he's ready to go home... as soon as SUNDAY! Which is very wonderful news! Needless to say, Stefan is in very good spirits this morning!

I didn't have much time to speak with Stefan and Daniella, other than to get the good news. But that news was enough for me to post now. When I hear more, I'll be back. Till then, keep thinking POSITIVE!!!
