Sunday evening, 10/2

Stefan had a great day. His friends came to visit Andy B., John P. & Danek S. Those are his motorcycle buddies. They had a few jokes for him and he really laughed. They even said that this is the same old Stefan. His color is good. They were even setting him up for golf already on Saturday or a Bike ride somewhere. Well if he gets out on Tuesday he should be able to make it. Yeah Right!!! Do you think I would LET HIM go? Not on your life, but they were kidding only.
He had a good appetite for dinner, I even went and got him a sandwich from Treasure Island down the block. His temperature is stable and they don't come every 2 hours to check up on him now. Since his WBC is up they only do it every 5-6 hours. Tomorrow is a big day, we will find out about the picline and also get the information about going home. What to do and who comes over and when they will be coming over and the appointments for the rest of this week. Yes we will be coming back for weekly visits to Dr. Olga at the Hospital. Home Health Care Services will be doing the infusion of his medication, which takes 4 hours, to do daily at home. Will let you know tomorrow what happened, for now Goodnight.

WBC is creeping up slowly but surely - 10/2

Today is Sunday morning, October 2, 2005, the WBC today is at 2.9 Stefan's hemoglobin is at 9.5 and his platelets are 265. His temperature is holding normal at 98.6. He is doing his laps now, going on his 14th for this morning. Before laps he had his nose scoped and then ate breakfast. Ate cereal and french toast. Appetite is coming back slowly. Last night he had soup from home (rosol) and some Polish rye bread with butter. He said that tasted great and made him feel that his taste buds are coming back slowly.
We are waiting to find out what time tomorrow (Monday) he will get his mainline removed and a pic line put in, it has to be put in, in O.R. so we need to be scheduled in for a time early so he could go home possible Monday.
For now - Ciao!
