Tuesday, 10/18, Continued...

Well, we are home now,the tests are done. Dr Olga Frankfurt said we should get the results from the bone biopsy by Friday at the latest. The paper signing for the experimental drug posacozanole did not happen today because the paperwork was not in for us to sign yet. Dr Ison apologized about that, and said he will cancel the CT Scan scheduled for 7:40 Wednesday morning.
Stefan is scheduled to be checked in to the hospital for the next round of chemo on Monday Oct 24, 2005. This round of chemo will be twice a day every other day for 6 days duration in the hospital. Then it depends how he will feel, to be discharged to go home possibly on Sunday or Monday on Halloween. The transplant and harvesting of stem cells will be in the near future. Dr Olga would like us to be at home for the holidays (Christmas) if at all possible, but we will see how Stefan does up to there.

In the Waiting Room - 10/18

I will post more information when we are finished at the hospital with the tests for today. Stefan had a bone biopsy done already. Now he is getting a MUGA test for the heart. Then we go the the P.F.T. (Pulmonary Function Test) I thought it was the LFT (Liver) but I was wrong.

Hey are you enjoying this fall weather? Well, in the Chicago area it is just beautiful right now. Temperature outside is about 70+ degrees. I am waiting in either one waiting room or another waiting room (on a different floor).

We did NOT sign the papers last night for the experimental medicine, because they were not ready yet. We are hoping to do it today, after these tests.
