Have a great weekend!
Well, Stefan has been home for almost two weeks.
His attitude is, as always, positive. He's had a few ups and downs these past two weeks, mostly because of trying to figure out the whole "sit down for 5-6 hours while you get IV meds" thing. What a pain in the butt! Can't sleep during it, because you have to change IV bags. Can't do it in the morning, because Stefan likes to go to work for a few hours during regular business hours. Doesn't want to do it in the late afternoon/early evening because then he can't go anywhere or do anything while he's tied to his girlfriend, Ivy Pole. Doesn't want to do it late evening, because the diuretic has him constantly "going." So we're back to getting the meds during the night! Sheesh! Does anyone have 6 spare hours during the day???
But, Stefan and Daniella have figured out a routine that works well for them, in the late evening/early night. This way, he can have his blood draw first thing in the morning, he can go to doctor's appointments, go to work, go see his grandkids, have them over for dinner, and more.
Next week is a big week for him... the bone marrow biopsy on Tuesday will show if he's ready to do the bone marrow donation for his transplant. And after that... another week of chemo. Results of the biopsy will come on Friday, so let's hope the results are what he needs!
That's it for now. Hasn't been much change since he got home. At least, not as much change from day to day like there was while he was in the hospital for four weeks! I'm glad that's behind us all! So, I don't post every day. I just post once a week now... until the next round of lots of daily changes.
Hugs to you all! Thanks for sending all those positive thoughts and wonderful prayers Stefan's way!
Have a great weekend!
