Well I gave Stefan a shot in the stomach on tuesday evening. Yes a real shot of Leukine. The nurse showed me how to do it. Now the nurse will only be coming twice a week to take blood and do vitals. The Leukine injection is for building up his white blood count, while his is going down now since the chemo. He is taking 2 other tablets other than the injection. Drops for his eyes continue twice a day also.
We have an appointment on Nov. 8th at 7:20 am. Dr. Franfurt will possibly be taking a bone biopsy to see where his count is at.
Dr. Ison the Infectious Disease doctor's appointment is at 8:00 am that same morning, to check how Stefan is doing on that experimental drug Posaconizole. He takes that twice a day with milk, very vanilla-ey tasting. Which is not Stefan's favorite flavor. He rather it would be chocolate.
For now he is still feeling ok, a little more tired every day, but that is to be expected after the chemo and his going to work a few hours daily. He is in a very positive attitude not to let THIS thing get him down.
We see the grandkids more now that he is home. We saw them all for Halloween, as you can see the pictures. Then we all had dinner together at the Koivun house afterwards.
